Valentino Rossi doesn't just race, he performs. Nine MotoGP world championships, and a personality the entire motorsport community loves. Today, as owner of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, that same spirit lives on in the pit lane.
But when the team unveiled their 2026 livery, something felt missing. The boldness. The theatre. The unmistakable Rossi signature. So, I designed my own.
The brief was simple: make it move. The existing livery wears its sponsors like badges; applied, not integrated.
I wanted graphics and branding to feel one rather than assembled.
However, the Ducati's sculpted bodywork fights flat geometry at every curve, but that tension became the challenge worth solving.
The answer came from Rossi's most iconic helmet: the
Soleluna. Sun and moon. Contrasts held in perfect balance; dynamic, mythic, unmistakably his.
That duality became the livery's DNA. Arcs sweep the bodywork with intent. Sponsors no longer sit on the design, they move with it. One machine. One statement. One spirit.
